BMW M3 E36 3L CABRIOLET
The appearance in 1986 of the BMW Motorsport “M” on the BMW E30 was a bombshell. Called the M3, its 200 hp gave it a level of performance that left the competitors in the dust. The success of the car convinced the manufacturer to continue in the same direction, this time in the form of the E63 M3, which appeared in 1992 with a six-cylinder 3-litre, 286 horsepower engine that topped out at 250 km/h (155 mph).
The car that we're offering had 89,000 km (55,300 miles) on it in 2009, as the accompanying maintenance records show. This car recently received a major overhaul, which can be verified through the servicing two invoices from 2016 for more than 5 000 . Today the odometer reads 121,000 km (75,186 miles).
Its Avus blue paintjob was redone in the past, giving the exterior an overall attractive look. The same goes for the soft top hood and its rear window, which is new. The soft top cover is dark grey leather and the car has optional chrome rims. The grey leather interior is in good condition, but it needs thorough cleaning to return it to the lustre of its early years.
Rare to find in a cabriolet, the M3 E36 is one of the highest performing “youngtimer” cult cars and also one of the most fashionable currently on the market. Added to its high performance, this car also lets you drive with the wind in your hair.
